Scouting's mission to to help instill values in young people and to prepare them to make ethical choices over their lifetime in achieving their full poential. The Boy Scouts of America has one comprehensive youth development program segmented into age-specific activities. These include: Tiger Cubs (first grade or 7 years of age); Cub Scouts (second through fifth grade or 8,9, or 10 years of age); Boy Scouts (ages 11 to 18); Venturing (co-ed for boys and girls 14 through 20 years of age); and Learning for Life(school-based K-12 and Exploring (work-site based for boys and girls 14 through 20).
